March 2023 10pm the snow came – and I had the bright idea to call for a snowball fight in the closest park I could find- Grabbed my children out of bed….and off we went! I wasn’t too sure anyone would come as everyone moaned about the cold… .but 30 people later…Aroma care snowball fight commenced!
Aroma Care provides essential support to many individuals without family. We’ve stepped in for users who need assistance, from those returning home from the hospital to those needing daily living support. When there’s no food, we do their shopping. Many of our users rely solely on us or social services, highlighting the importance of our commitment. Our care workers are vital to helping these individuals live their lives fully and independently.
We regularly organize and participate in environmental clean-up initiatives to keep our surroundings clean and green and at times renovating people’s homes.
“But what can we do for the service user that little bit more than they’re ever going to ask for?” Tara Wagstaff – Registered Manager – Northamptonshire
By engaging in these activities, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of environmental stewardship and inspire others to join us in preserving the beauty and health of our environment.
At Aroma Care, we believe in fostering a vibrant and supportive environment for both our service users and care workers. Our workplace initiatives are designed to enhance well-being, creativity, and community spirit. For our service users, we offer engaging arts and crafts sessions that spark creativity and provide a sense of accomplishment. We also have a lively choir where participants can enjoy the joy of singing together. For our dedicated care workers, we provide an “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” space, where they can unwind and find support during challenging times. To add a touch of fun and relaxation, we have a foosball table that encourages friendly competition and team bonding. These initiatives ensure that everyone at Aroma Care feels valued, connected, and cared for.
Aroma Care’s compassionate care workers often go above and beyond their duties, demonstrating acts of kindness that make a significant difference in the lives of those they serve. For example, if a user expresses a craving for fish and chips on a Friday, our care workers take the initiative to fulfill that wish, warming hearts and meals alike. These thoughtful gestures, performed without any prompting, highlight the genuine care and dedication our team has for each individual. By sharing these stories, we showcase the humanity and empathy at the core of Aroma Care, ensuring our users feel valued and supported in every way possible. These examples of our care workers’ kindness not only underscore their commitment but also remind everyone of the positive impact we can make through small, considerate actions.
Denny has been with Aroma Care since June 2020, and over the years, our dedicated care workers have implemented numerous positive measures to enhance his quality of life.
