This summer marked an extraordinary occasion for Aroma Care as we proudly joined the annual Rainbows It’s a Knockout charity event. This exciting and light-hearted competition has become a staple in Rainbows’ fundraising calendar, bringing together organisations, community groups, and individuals who share the common goal of making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. For Aroma Care, participation was not only about showcasing our team’s spirit, but also about contributing to a cause that resonates deeply with our values of compassion, community, and care. The day was filled with laughter, determination, and friendly rivalry, as our staff took on foam-filled obstacle courses, giant inflatable challenges, and team activities designed to test both stamina and collaboration. Each round was met with enthusiastic cheers from supporters, highlighting the incredible sense of unity and joy that this event brings year after year.
Rainbows’ Appreciation
Helen Farley, Events Coordinator at Rainbows, expressed her gratitude for Aroma Care’s participation and support:
“A huge well done to your team for taking part in our It’s a Knockout charity event! We hope you had an unforgettable evening filled with fun, laughter, and team spirit. Your enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to get stuck in (and probably a little soaked!) made the event such a success and most importantly, your support is helping us continue making a difference in the lives of the babies, children, young people, and families cared for by Rainbows. Thank you once again for being part of it. We truly appreciate your commitment and generosity. We couldn’t do it without you!”

The Radicals Team Experience
Representing Aroma Care with pride and energy, the Radicals Team was made up of ten dedicated staff members drawn from both our Warwickshire and Gloucestershire branches. This mix of individuals reflected the bond and strength within our organisation, with each person bringing their unique enthusiasm and determination to the event. The team was captained by Takudzwa, a senior Warwickshire staff member, whose leadership and encouragement kept spirits high even during the most challenging parts of the competition.

Marshall, speaking on behalf of the Radicals Team, described their experience:
“Staff members participated wholeheartedly and with high energy, embodying the spirit of teamwork and community engagement. Their enthusiasm extended beyond just the games they also actively contributed towards raising funds for the event. Although the full target could not be reached through staff contributions alone, Aroma Care generously topped up the remaining amount, ensuring that both branches met their goals. This collaborative effort highlighted the outstanding commitment to corporate social responsibility from both staff and leadership.”
The Radicals demonstrated resilience, humour, and a willingness to give everything a go. Whether it was racing across slippery inflatables, ducking sprays of water, or pushing through foam-filled relays, they embraced every challenge with smiles and laughter. Even when exhaustion threatened to creep in, encouragement from teammates and cheers from the sidelines ensured that no one gave up. These moments of laughter, grit, and determination captured the very essence of teamwork values we live by every day at Aroma Care.

The Diversity Team Experience
Running alongside the Radicals was our Diversity Team, whose lively participation added colour and excitement to the day. Their approach was playful yet determined, highlighting not only physical effort but also the joy of connection and shared achievement. From the very start, the team was delighted that the weather was sunny, a welcome contrast from last year’s event, which left many soaked through!
Tara, representing the Diversity Team, reflected on the day:
“Firstly, we were very happy that the sun was shining and we were not going to get wet like last year! This year there were some different courses for the staff to complete, including the one where they dressed up in giant outfits with HUGE shoes – the staff found this hilarious and it was really fun to watch.

The spirit of the day was amazing, with all teams coming together. And of course, our team was desperate to beat the Radicals this year… which we did!”

The Diversity Team tackled soapy slides, bubbly obstacles, and high-energy races with unstoppable enthusiasm. Between running, jumping, and rowing-style challenges, each member gave more than 100%. The DJ’s music kept the atmosphere buzzing, with plenty of dancing and laughter in between rounds. The sense of camaraderie extended beyond the games cheering for other teams and celebrating victories together was just as rewarding as the challenges themselves.
A Celebration of Values
For Aroma Care, participating in Rainbows It’s a Knockout is more than just a fun day out. It is an opportunity to embody our values of compassion, inclusivity, and community engagement in a meaningful way. By standing shoulder-to-shoulder with other teams, we not only supported the work Rainbows carries out but also strengthened our own culture of collaboration and kindness.
We are incredibly proud of every staff member who volunteered their time and energy. Their commitment, enthusiasm, and team spirit are a true reflection of Aroma Care’s ethos. Our employer’s support in topping up fundraising contributions further demonstrated that Aroma Care as a whole is committed to making a positive difference not only within the organisation but also in the communities we serve.

Looking Ahead
As we reflect on this year’s event, one thing is clear: we cannot wait to return in 2026 with even more energy, strategy, and determination. The memories of laughter, teamwork, and achievement from this year will inspire us to continue making a difference in the lives of those Rainbows supports.

Well done Team Aroma Care Together, We Thrive to make a difference.
