At AromaCare, we believe that the heart of great care lies in the people who deliver it. Meet the dedicated team that’s providing professional compassionate care in the comfort of your home.
To be the best I can at ensuring everyone gets the best care and support possible.
My passion for care began at a young age, around 9 or 10 years old. With my parents originally from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, I spent all my school holidays visiting my grandparents there. Just down the road from their house was a residential care home, where I would spend almost every day. I loved sitting with the residents, serving tea, and joining in activities like singing and crafts—it quickly became a part of me.
This passion stayed with me all through my teenage years and upon leaving school I continued to college to study pre- nursing with the intention of one day becoming a nurse, however the formality and lack of time allowed to spend with the patients deterred me as my idea of caring was far more than clean sheets and writing reports.
So I began my journey into what really mattered to me, I started working in the community as a care worker in Coventry which I enjoyed for a number of years working my way up to a team leader and mentor for new care staff, this became untenable once I started my family so I found an alternative role in residential care where I could work evenings and nights again starting off as a carer, promoted to senior care and then deputy manager. During this time the home manager became unwell so I took over the day to day management of the home until she was well enough to return, often taking the children with me ( where Lauren started her love of care).
My career spans over 35 years working in all aspects including:
1. Community Care
2. Residential Care
3. Nursing home care
4. Hospital Agency Care
I started up a new domiciliary care agency from scratch obtaining a CQC rating of Good in the first inspection, Qualified to AET award to train care staff, hold a level 5 in health and social care along with a large portfolio of CPD which pretty much takes me to now – Head of Service at Aroma Care and a registered manager for the Warwickshire and Gloucestershire branches ensuring and maintaining compliance in accordance with our registration alongside mentorship for office staff to improve their knowledge base whilst ensuring each location is delivering care of the highest standard.
I don’t care who you are or where you are from, you deserve care.

Our dedicated care workers are trained to offer support, companionship, assistance tailored to your unique needs and a genuine commitment to enhancing your quality of life so that you and your loved ones can find peace of mind, knowing that you are in safe and caring hands.
In our care company, accountability is the cornerstone of our commitment to excellence in health and social care. We believe that every member of our team must take responsibility for their actions, whether the outcomes are positive or negative. Our focus is not on assigning blame but on collaboratively identifying solutions and implementing improvements. By fostering a culture of accountability, we ensure that we consistently deliver the highest quality of care across all our branches. This dedication to continuous improvement enables us to uphold the standards of care that our clients and their families deserve.
At Aroma Care, we believe consistency is crucial to providing exceptional care. We ensure that every care worker is fully supported and well-prepared, understanding their responsibilities and the preferences of our clients from the detailed care assessment plans. We maintain consistency even during staff changes or absences by ensuring seamless handovers and clear communication. Regular care workers receive appropriate relief, and in emergencies, familiar substitutes step in. This approach ensures continuous and consistent care, with caregivers always aware of our clients’ needs and preferences. We also understand that timely care is crucial to its effectiveness because even the best care loses its impact if it’s not provided at the right time. Ensuring our staff are always on time is a top priority.
We prioritize consistency and preparedness. Each double service plan has two regular care workers and two regular relievers to ensure that there is always a familiar backup available in case of emergencies. To maintain continuous care, we schedule our care workers so that at least one main care worker and one reliever are always on duty, avoiding simultaneous absences. We also ensure our care workers are well-informed about their clients, including preferences and needs, through comprehensive care plans. In emergencies, familiar substitutes step in seamlessly, supported by clear handovers and clear communication. We involve families in the care process, keeping them informed and ensuring their input is incorporated into care plans, providing peace of mind and quality care.
We value feedback from care workers, social workers as it helps us improve our services. After the initial assessment, we regularly check in with clients to gather feedback and identify any changes in needs. Compliments are shared with caregivers to boost morale. Open communication allows clients and families to relay concerns promptly. Feedback from external organizations is also considered to enhance our services. Client feedback often leads to positive changes, ensuring we maintain high standards of care and client satisfaction.

When a client requires new equipment, we arrange for an occupational therapist to demonstrate its use to our carers.
We collaborate with community teams to offer specialized training to all our staff members. For example, if a client has a specific need and struggles to find appropriate care, we source the necessary training to provide the required care. Our goal is to always meet the needs of our clients ensuring the highest standard of care, even if it means seeking additional training or resources. This commitment to specialist training ensures our care workers are well-prepared and confident in delivering exceptional care.
Our shadowing program pairs new employees with experienced Senior Care Workers or Care Workers for three days. On the first day, new recruits observe without performing any tasks. Over the next two days, they gradually take on care tasks under guidance. This hands-on training follows the completion of online courses and helps new recruits apply theoretical knowledge in real situations. It also introduces them to clients and fosters trust. Shadowing builds confidence, as new employees familiarize themselves with their roles and clients before working independently. The program concludes with professional feedback from both the experienced carer and the new recruit, ensuring a thorough understanding and integration into the care team.
